Ohio Students Travel to Columbus, Tackle Students’ Rights in Mock Trial Competition

COLUMBUS (March 8, 2023) - More than 200 Ohio high school students are headed to Downtown Columbus to participate in the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education’s (OCLRE) 40th Annual Ohio Mock Trial State Competition. After advancing from two rounds of competition, the students will now compete to see who will be named the 2023 Ohio Mock Trial State Champion.  

 

The following schools will be participating in the competition: 

 

 

The 2023 State Competition will take place over the course of three days beginning on March 9 at the Franklin County Courthouse and ending with the State Championship at the Supreme Court of Ohio on March 11. The 2023 state champion team will represent Ohio at the National High School Mock Trial Competition, which will take place May 18-20 in Little Rock, AR, hosted by the Arkansas Mock Trial Foundation.
