The 2016 Law & Citizenship Conference is an opportunity for teachers around Ohio to explore what is new and fresh in citizenship education. The theme this year is “Democracy in Action: Teaching about the elections.” Topics will include: political cartoons, voter ID laws, understanding the electoral college, civility in elections, supreme court case law and more. Sessions will also be held on all OCLRE programs, including Mock Trial and We the People. All paid attendees will be the first to receive the 2016 Mock Trial case (free), and will have a chance to hear from the committee about new rules for the 2017 competition.
