ACA Unveils New Logo at Independent Show

BOSTON, July 22, 2015 - The American Cable Association today formally introduced the organization's new logo, featuring a bold, iconic monogram of the letter "A" formed by a stylized blue and red ribbon that appears to fold over at the peak. The dominant, open star shape embedded in the white space visually completes the monogram.

"ACA's new logo achieves everything we hoped to accomplish: An updated and timely look with clean lines adorned by bold, striking colors that reflect ACA's direct yet open approach to ensuring policymakers make the right choices for the independent cable community," ACA President and CEO Matthew M. Polka said.

ACA's logo has a unique and striking appearance, conveying both action and progress for the 850 companies that make up the organization's membership. Because of its clean lines and appearance, ACA's new logo should be very easy to recognize.

"The font style represents our members in its Americana look, and the uppercase style suggests strength. The classic simplicity of this logo design makes it a memorable brand signature," said ACA Chairman Robert Gessner, who is president of MCTV in Massillon, Oh.

The logo was designed by Innis Maggiore of Canton, Ohio, the nation's leading agency in the practice of positioning. Please see attached style sheet for further information.

The formal unveiling of ACA's new logo coincided with this year's Independent Show, an annual forum created to address key public policy issues facing independent cable operators. ACA co-hosts the event with the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC), a Lenexa, Kansas-based group that buys programming and equipment for U.S. cable operators.
