The Ohio Center for Law-Related Education (OCLRE) is currently seeking a curriculum lead to help guide the creation of a new Ohio Government Curriculum project.  The curriculum will serve teachers in grades 8-12, and will act as a supplement to our textbook Ohio Government in Action by Dr. David Naylor.  The position will be contractual, with the term of employment extending from June 2016 until January 2017.

The curriculum lead will be responsible for guiding a team of educators to evaluate the standards in grades 8-12 related to Ohio state and local governments, and guiding a team of lesson plan writers to create and evaluate 10-15 lessons designed to meet these standards.  Ideal candidates will have experience in curriculum creation, and will have knowledge of state and local governments as they are currently taught in grades 8-12.

The total compensation will be $5,000, payable at the completion of key project milestones.  Interested candidates should click here to download the application package.  All application materials should be sent to rsuskey@oclre.org no later than May 20, 2016.  All candidates will be notified by June 8, 2016 of their application status.  Electronic submissions only please; hard copy applications will not be accepted.
