Ohio Students Travel to Columbus, Tackle First Amendment in Mock Trial Competition
COLUMBUS (March 3, 2025) – Nearly 300 high school students are headed to Columbus to compete in the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education’s (OCLRE) 42nd Annual Ohio Mock Trial State Competition. Students advanced from two rounds of competition, narrowing the field from 254 teams to the 31 teams that will compete to see who will be named the 2025 Ohio Mock Trial State Champion.
The following schools will participate in the competition:

- Buckeye Valley High School (Delaware County)
- Centerville High School (Montgomery County)
- Claymont High School (Tuscarawas County)
- Danville High School (Knox County)
- Gallia Academy High School (Gallia County)
- Indian Hill High School (Hamilton County)
- Kenston High School (Geauga County)
- Keystone High School (Lorain County)
- Mason High School (Warren County)
- Milford Senior High School (Clermont County)
- Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School (Geauga County)
- Perrysburg High School (Wood County)
- Reading Community High School (Hamilton County)
- Revere High School (Summit County)
- Reynoldsburg High School (Franklin County)
- Solon High School (Cuyahoga County)
- Springfield High School (Clark County)
- St. Xavier High School (Hamilton County)
- Sylvania Southview High School (Lucas County)
- Talawanda High School (Butler County)
- Warren High School (Washington County)
- Wheelersburg High School (Scioto County)
The 2025 State Competition will take place over the course of three days, beginning on March 6 and ending with the State Championship to be held at the Supreme Court of Ohio on March 8. The 2025 State Champion team will represent Ohio at the National High School Mock Trial Competition on May 7-10 in Phoenix, AZ, hosted by the Arizona Bar Foundation.
